Democracy Hub Demo: These Are The Same People Terrorists Use – Gideon Boako Backs Police

NPP parliamentary candidate for Tano North, Dr. Gideon Boako has backed the Police for arresting some participants of the Democracy Hub “Stop The Galamsey” protest.
A number of the protesters are facing prosecution after engaging in acts of vandalism during their demonstration which ocurred within the enclave of the 37 Military Hospital.
Among some things they did that compelled the Police to apprehend them were they blocking roads leading to the hospital, destroying political party properties, particularly of the governing New Patriotic Party, removing Police vehicle keys and throwing it away, setting fire in the intersection and playing football in the road.
Fifty-four (54) persons remain in Police custody after their arraignment before court.
Speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Dr. Gideon Boako condemned the demonstrators for not abiding by the laws.
“Wrong is wrong. It doesn’t matter who does it”, he asserted.
To him, the protesters displayed distasteful behaviors that need not be tolerated, stressing “these are the same people that terrorists use in different settings to cause mayhem, destroy life and property and cause destruction to the nation. We shouldn’t allow these things to go on; the lives of Ghanaians are so important to us”.
