Don’t Disappoint Us! – Dr. Otchere-Ankrah To Polls

Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah, a Governance Analyst and lecturer at the University of Ghana, has charged the Ghana Police Service and security agencies not to misconduct themselves in the elections.

Over 18 million electorates are expected to partake in Saturday’s elections which will be held at over 4000 polling stations.

The country is said to have 7900 flashpoints representing almost 20% of polling centers.

Speaking during Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Dr. Otchere-Ankrah urged the Police to exercise their duties effectively ensuring peace and stability on the election day and the country at large.

“Don’t disappoint us!”, he exclaimed.

He also appealed to Ghanaians to comply with the electoral rules and asbtain from violence.

He further warned them not to engage in any activity that may incite the Police or security personnel present at the polling stations to react in an offensive manner.

“We have to jealously protect our democracy”, he stressed.
