Don’t Stay In Abusive Relationships And Die…Love Is Not By Force! – Ellen Ama Daaku Tells Women
Ellen Ama Daaku, a passionate advocate for women and children’s rights, has expressed worrisome concerns about the deaths of young ladies as a result of abusive relationships or from the hands of their boyfriends.
The women and children’s right activist, speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” panel discussion show, referenced two recent separate incidents, one at KNUST and the other happened at Sunyani, where two girlfriends have been allegedly murdered by their boyfriends.
The KNUST incident involves these two lovebirds in their final year said to have engaged in a heated altercation and the boyfriend pounced on the girl reportedly asphyxiating her to death.
Regarding the Sunyani incident, a guy reportedly killed and hid the deceased body of his girlfriend in a septic tank.
As Saturday, March 8, 2025 marks “International Women’s Day”, Ama Daaku has offered a word of advice and caution to women.
Taking cues from the unfortunate news of these murders, she admonished all women, especially young girls. to avoid hostile relationships and also not to entertain abusive partners.
“Relationship is not by force…There is a saying that the beautiful ladies are not yet born, so are the handsome guys not yet born. I appeal to you, young girls, don’t remain in abusive relationships; get out immediately!…Love is not by force”, she asserted.
To the men, she asked them to let go if they cannot treat their girlfriends well and with utmost respect and love.
