ECG Disconnects Electricity To Parliament
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has disconnected electricity supply to Parliament.
Parliament was thrown into total darkness today for failing to pay off its debt.
The Legislative House owes the company 23 million cedis.
“The National Taskforce executed the disconnection on Thursday, February 29, following unsuccessful attempts to collect the outstanding arrears”, a report said.
This disconnection is part of the ECG’s “Operation Zero Balance” aimed at retrieving unpaid debts from its customers.
