ECG Missing But Found Containers: Apologize To Us – Sam Pyne To John Jinapor

Former Mayor of Kumasi, Sam Pyne has requested an apology from the Minister of Energy, John Jinapor, over the ECG containers that went missing but are now reportedly found at the port.
About 1300 containers belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) were initially reported by the Minister to have gone missing from the port.
Subsequent events led to raids at some companies with suspects being arrested for having stolen some of the containers and also led to the Minister setting up a committee to investigate the matter.
The committee, in their recent report, indicated the missing containers had been discovered at the port.
It noted that 2,637 containers, a figure more than double the number initially said to have been lost, were currently sitting at the port.
Reacting to the issue during Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” panel discussion programme, Sam Pyne strictly demanded that the Minister apologizes, especially for making Ghanaians point accusing fingers at innocent people, mentioning the former Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, alias NAPO.
“I believe some apology should come”, he said.
