We Have Right To Defend Ourselves If… – Soldiers Warn Ghanaians Over Attacks On Personnel
The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has warned the public against mobbing their personnel and seizing their arms.
According to a statement by the leadership of the Armed Forces, the military personnel on “authorised duty have the right to defend themselves” through the use of “lethal force if necessary to preserve life”, hence cautions the public to desist from such misconduct.
“GAF wishes to once again encourage all Ghanaians to exercise their civic rights responsibly, cooperate with security personnel and refrain from any acts that could disrupt the peace. GAF reiterates its commitment to safeguarding the stability and sovereignty of the nation”, portion of the statement said.
