Enough Of National Security Storming People’s Homes!! – ASEPA Boss Slams Mahama Govt

Executive Director of the Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA), Mensah Thompson has condemned the invasion of private residences of officials of previous Akufo-Addo government by National Security.
Specifically commenting on the national security operatives’ raid at former Governor of Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addison’s home, the ASEPA boss called on government to desist from using such approach to clamp down on persons suspected of committing corruption.
He stated; “National Security storming people’s homes at night is becoming one too many. Enough of National Security storming people’s homes.”
Mensah Thompson advised the government to rather be “creative about the fight against corruption. The government should be creative about its recovery approach. The government should be creative in holding persons accountable, especially persons or officials of the previous government”.
“The government should be creative in holding these people accountable or else it will make some people have sympathy that they don’t deserve it. We all want to see some action to be done but not this way. How people’s homes are being stormed at gunpoint, I think we are in a democracy”, he added.
He made these remarks on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” discussion show.
