‘Everybody Who Knows Me Knows I Don’t Drink Alcohol’ – President Akufo-Addo Denies In His 2024 Nation Address

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in his nation address today at Parliament, issued a disclaimer what he was drinking while delivering his speech.

The President, in the midst of his address, kept coughing intermittently which called for him to drink more water.

As the President was drinking to clear his throat, he quickly retorted that what was being poured into his glass was merely water.

“Everybody who knows me knows that I don’t drink alcohol”, he said, provoking laughter in the House.

This, he stated, to disabuse the minds of the Members of Parliament from thinking he was sipping an alcoholic content.
