FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup: Black Princesses Jet Off To Colombia
The U20 female national team of Ghana, the Black Princesses have departed to Colombia ahead of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
The team left Accra Tuesday evening for Bogota to continue preparations for the tournament which begins on August 31.
According to Ghanasoccernet.com, Ghana is making a seventh successive appearance at the World Cup and the West Africans have been drawn in Group E alongside former champions Japan, New Zealand and Austria.
Ghanasoccernet further noted that Ghana will begin her campaign with a clash against Europeans Austria on September 2 before engaging Asian giants Japan and New Zealand in subsequent matches.
The team hopes to proceed from the group stage as they gear up for the World Cup.
The Black Princesses are poised to achieve a great feat, therefore been prepping since winning the African Games gold in March.
