Galamsey Fight: You Are All ‘Hypocrites’ – Atik Scolds Organized Labour

Atik Mohammed has gone wild on Organized Labour for cancelling their strike action against government.

Organized Labour threatened a nationwide strike to compel the President to clamp down on illegal mining, locally called “galamsey”.

In order to end galamsey which destroys water bodies and environment, the unions decided to abandon their work to register their displeasure with the President but called it off after a meeting with the President who highlighted some measures he is undertaking to resolve the issue.

The President has instructed the deployment of the Military to the galamsey sites and a suspension of mining in forest reserves.

Contributing to Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Atik slammed Organized Labour for not holding their ground.

“Are they expecting solidarity from Ghanaians in the future? If they decide to strike for one reason or the other, do they expect solidarity from Ghanaians?”, he questioned.

With the exception of UTAG, he labeled the members of Organized Labour as “hypocrites”.

“They are not organized…They are hypocrites”, he exclaimed, stressing “their actions are hypocritical, in fact super-hypocritical, in fact gargantuanly hypocritical”.
