‘Give Your Monies To Orphans If You Don’t Win’ – Musician Nacee Scolds Black Stars
Gospel musician, Nacee has asked the Black Stars players to donate their monies from the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) to orphans if they fail to win their matches.
The Black Stars, who was once Africa’s top team to wrestle with on the pitch, is now almost seen as an underdog as they keep losing their matches.
The Stars, in their first game at the ongoing AFCON, encountered an embarrassing defeat by their opponents, Cape Verde, who scored them by 2 goals to 1.
This outcome on last Sunday, January 14, has left many Ghanaian soccer fans devastated by grief and anxiety as the Black Stars await their next game.
The team will go head-to-head with Egypt on Thursday, January 18.
Another defeat will translate in the team’s return home with no news of victory nor climbing the group stage ladder to give Ghanaians hope of being in the finals of the game.
Nacee, in a Facebook post, insisted if they players fail to beef up their game, they don’t deserve payment.
He wrote: “GHANA BLACKSTARS!!! This level of Love Ghanaians have shown you… If you do not win your matches the best to do is to say they should give your monies to orphans… All those in support say AYT….”
