Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has officially taken the oath of office as Ghana’s Vice President.
The former Education Minister who was elected Vice Presidential Candidate of National Democratic Congress on Tuesday, January 7, mounted the podium at the Independence Square to swear allegiance to Ghana.
Reading her pledge in the presence of thousands of Ghanaians, Vice President Naana Opoku-Agyemang promised to devotedly commit herself to the “service and wellbeing of the people of Ghana”.
She also pledged to do right to all citizens and that failure on her part to do so will result in legal ramifications.
“I shall submit myself to the laws of the Republic of Ghana”, she emphasized.
