I Sleep With A Gun In My Hand – A Plus Reveals

Musician cum politician, A Plus has disclosed he wields a gun wherever he finds himself to avoid premature death.

The Gomoa Central independent parliamentary aspirant, in an interview on Hitz FM, noted that he sleeps with his gun in his hand ready to shoot to death any assailant who tries to make a move on him.

He recounted that the death of one of his closest friends, Fennec Okyere, who was defenselessly murdered in cold blood about nine years ago, informed his decision to carry gun around.

He stated; “When you fall asleep, you will probably do so with your phone in your hand. I fall asleep with my gun in my hand. Even sometimes, I’m sitting on UTV, I have a gun in my pants. I’m just living and I don’t want to die like Fennec.

“Fennec was in his room sleeping, and then people came and he had to wait for them to come and murder him. Bro, you can’t die like that. He had to wait. He didn’t have anything, no form of protection, so he just had to wait for them to break in and murder him.

“I still have the pictures on my phone. And when I look at Fennec’s pictures, I say to myself, ‘Me, I will not go like that’. The kind of things I’ll do before I die, when you put me on my bed, you see me smiling because I would have shot at least one person before I died.”

Unsolved Fennec’s Murder Case 

Fennec Okyere was murdered in his home in Accra on March 13, 2014 by unknown assailant(s).

The years after his death have been tough for his family, friends and industry players including artiste Kwaw Kese who shared a strong bond with him as his manager.

Fennec’s murder led to the arrest of artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly called Bullgod, but no concrete evidence to connect him to Fennec’s death was found.

Bullgod was later acquitted and discharged.

No subsequent arrest has since 2014 been made to put the aggressor(s) in jail.
