I Will Send Your Children To America If You Vote For Me – Pious Enam Hadzide Tells Asuogyaman Constituents

New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Asuogyaman constituency in the Eastern Region, Pious Enam Hadzide has promised to send the youth to United States during the World Cup season.

According to him, this is one of his commitments if elected to represent the constituents in Parliament in 2025.

Speaking to a gathering in the constituency, Mr. Hadzide, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority and a board member of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), said he will facilitate the travel of the youth to the US to go and work to benefit their families.

He said; “Nananom, do you know that it takes 18 hours to travel from Ghana to America? Even that, I was able to go along with some people. The 2026 World Cup is going to be held in the United States of America which takes just 7 hours to travel to from Ghana.”

“Nananom, if you desire that your children travel to America to go work and remit money back home, or if you are a young person eager to travel to explore opportunities in America, I promise to support you when I become an MP.

“Unlike Ampem my opponent, I will not fold my arms and sit aloof without helping the youth in my constituency. I will facilitate your travels to Germany, America, UK, France, including wherever you want to go in the world, I will help you.

“So vote for me in the upcoming December elections, and I will ensure that I help you achieve your dreams of travelling abroad.”

Australia Visa Scandal

Mr. Hadzide was embroiled in a visa scandal in 2017 while he was Deputy Sports Minister.

He was said to have facilitated the movement of some Ghanaian nationals to Australia under the guise that they are journalists going to cover the Commonwealth Games.

He was suspended by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for investigations and later reinstated after being acquitted of a wrongdoing.
