If National Security Operatives Can Break Into Bawumia’s Aide’s Home, Then Who’s Safe In Ghana? – Nana Akomea
Nana Akomea, former STC Chief Executive Officer, has condemned the alleged invasion of the private residence of Superintendent Yakubu Issahaku, Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, by National Security.
The ADC alleges that armed men from the National Security besieged his home on Saturday, 5 April 2025 in his absence.
According to Issahaku, he was informed via WhatsApp around 6:14 p.m. by a friend that approximately 30 masked and armed military personnel had forcibly entered his home.
He claims the operatives ransacked the entire property, causing significant destruction.
Addressing the issue during Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Nana Akomea likened the incident to “theft”.
To him, only “armed robbers” would behave the way the security officers did to the home of the former Veep’s ADC.
“If it’s true this was done by the National Security, is that the way National Security should operate? Breaking into people’s homes?”, he queried.
He lamented about the safety of Ghanaians, asking “if the National Security can do this a serving Police officer, then who is safe in Ghana?”
“What happened is theft. When they went there, the owner of the house wasn’t home. If someone isn’t home and you are searching for him, do you have to break the gate and doors to raid the house and scatter things? This can be only be theft. It’s armed robbers that I know do such a thing”, he blasted the National Security.
