It Feels Good To Still Be Playing At Age 35 – Dede Ayew

Ghana legend Andre Ayew, at 35, may not be quitting soccer any time soon.

The Ghanaian striker continues to make exploits in his field and, in an interview with BBC Sport Africa, he indicates his love for the game.

“It makes you feel good.”

“There’s a lot of sacrifices made to continue staying at the top level for all this while.”

“As you’re growing older, you need to train more. It’s even harder to stop yourself from eating certain foods.”

“We Africans, especially, like to eat good food. But at some point, you have to make a lot of sacrifices”, Ayew told BBC Sport Africa.

Ayew’s career is remarkable as he has played for top clubs in Europe and represented his national team, the Black Stars, in multiple Africa Cup of Nations and FIFA World Cup tournaments.
