Jakpa-Led National Security Operatives Raid Fmr. BoG Governor’s House

Reports indicate that some national security operatives led by Richard Jakpa, Director of Special Operations at the National Security Secretariat, have raided the private residence of the former Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addision.

The raid occurred on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at the victim’s Roman Ridge property in Accra.

According to eye witness accounts, heavily armed men, some in balaclavas, wielding AK-47 semi-automatic rifles, stormed the residence.

They are said to have first disabled the CCTV system and demanded to find Dr Addison’s “vaults”in his house, according to a publication by Asaase radio.

Dr. Addison, in response, denied having a vault or a stash of cash in his home.

This, however, did not deter the security operatives as they continued to dishevel the place for unknown reasons nor tell their motive behind the raid.

Following the incident, the Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin has visited the former Governor in solidarity with him and his family.
