Let’s Stay Positive In 2025; NPP Shall Bounce Back! – Dr. Ayew Afriyie
Member of Parliament for Effiduase Asokore and a pioneer in NPP youth advocacy, Dr. Ayew Afriyie has encouraged the youth of the party to remain positive about the party’s electoral prospects.
Dr. Ayew Afriyie believes the NPP will bounce back stronger, urging the youth not to despair in spite of the December 7, 2024 electoral defeat.
In a heartfelt message, the outspoken Legislator noted that though last year’s electoral defeat came as a shocker, the party, especially the youth wing, should approach the years ahead with a renewed hope and commitment.
There are concerns about how the NPP will be able to revive its base following their embarrassing defeat at the hands of its political rival, the National Democratic Congress, in the December 7 polls.
But the MP is optimistic 2025 will signal a new dawn for the party.
Noted for his role in sustaining the party’s grassroots’ advocacy as the lead founder of the vibrant Alliance For Accountable Governance (AFAG), Dr. Ayew Afriyie has declared his readiness to support the party’s resurgence as “we prepare to offer constructive and credible opposition to the incoming NDC administration”.
“This is not the time for us to lose hope; the NPP is a party with strong foundation. We have been here before as a party and came out even stronger. We need to stay focused even as we begin the healing process to identify the cause of our failure and rebuild this party”, he said.
