Mamobi Riot: Suspect With A Gun Arrested

The Police have arrested the suspect who was captured in a video brandishing a gun during a riot at Mamobi between supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party and opposition National Democratic Congress.
The Police who placed a bounty in search for Fatawu Ibrahim alias Fatau Motorway has, in a statement, confirmed his arrest.

The Ghana Police Service has arrested suspect  Fatawu Ibrahim alias Fatau Motorway, who was declared wanted in connection with the disturbances that occurred between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Mamobi in Accra on 13th October 2024.
Suspect Fatawu Ibrahim was captured in video footage with a gun during the disturbances in which two people were allegedly shot and injured.
He is currently in Police custody and will be put before the court in due course.
