Martha Ankomah Did Nothing Wrong…She’s Only Not Interested In ‘Witches’ Movies – Oboy Siki
Kumawood actor, Oboy Siki has justified actress Martha Ankomah’s refusal to shoot Kumawood movies which has aroused anger in some local (Twi) movie actors.
Lil Win, in a video that surfaced on social media days ago, lashed out at Martha Ankomah labeling her as an “idiot” and adding her fame has diminished.
The actress has incurred the wrath of her colleague actors because she is accused of telling a film producer that she is not interested in shooting a movie in Kumasi, stating they don’t produce quality movies.
This comment, to Lil Win and other local actors, is an affront to them, their fans and producers.
“Martha Ankomah, you are very disrespectful and arrogant. Who even knows you currently? What kind of star are you? Even your own child doesn’t know you…You are not a star, let me tell you; you are upcoming actress. What do you have? You’re not a star; nobody knows you. Stupid, nonsense, idiot!”, Lil Win fumed.
But Oboy Siki says Martha Ankomah has done nothing wrong.
According to him, the actress’ words have been misconstrued.
He stated in an interview monitored by Ghmessenger that what Martha said was she doesn’t want to involve herself with any role that has to do with witchcraft and that Kumawood movies are widely known for such scenes.
To Oboy Siki, these remarks are not disrespectful but a matter of choice on the part of Martha Ankomah.
“She said she doesn’t want to shoot any witchcraft scene and she is right. In fact, I even learned Martha Ankomah has over the years always held this position of not wanting to shoot a Kumawood movie. What is wrong with that? It’s her choice”, he said in defence of the actress.
