‘My Husband Has Suffered A Lot’ – Empress Gifty Thanks God For NPP’s Defeat
Ghanaian gospel musician Empress Gifty has started singing praises following the defeat of the New Patriotic Party in the December 7 elections.
Empress Gifty, in a viral video, was seen shedding tears while narrating how her husband has suffered under the hands of his former political party, New Patriotic Party.
Hopeson, a previous NPP parliamentary candidate for Kpone Katamanso, was removed from the party in November 2023 after supporting Alan Kyerematen instead of the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
He was further sacked from his job at the Kotoka International Airport, hence compounding his family’s problems.
During a TikTok live session, Empress Gifty shared her family’s ordeal.
She was happy for the change of government with former President John Dramani Mahama being declared President-elect.
Describing herself as the only gospel musician married to a politician, she blasted any person who tries to dissent to her reaction.
