NPP ‘Free SHS’ Has Revolutionized Ghana’s Education System – Akatsi Chiefs
The Chiefs and people of Akatsi North in the Volta Region have commended the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the immense impact of the Free Senior High School policy in the country.
Welcoming Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and presidential candidate of the NPP to Ave Havi in the Akatsi North Constituency on Tuesday, October 22, the Chiefs commended the government for implementing many social intervention programmes including the Free SHS.
The Free SHS, the Chiefs noted, has “revolutionized education by providing millions of Ghanaian children with access to secondary education for free”.
Torgbui Adogo Agbalek speaking on behalf of the Chiefs also acknowledged the government’s projects in their community such as the construction of a dormitory and classroom blocks as well as provision of a bus to the Ave Senior High School.
Other projects the Chiefs mentioned included construction of District Assembly offices, a Magistrate Court and bungalows, kindergarten blocks in the district, a hospital under the Agenda 111 programme and a DRIP equipment for the rehabilitation of roads.
The Chiefs commended and honoured Dr Bawumia by wrapping traditional leaves around his neck, symbolizing their confidence and support of his presidential ambition.
They said; “We acknowledge his dedication to public service and his unwavering commitment to the country’s progress is evident in his tireless efforts to drive economic growth, improve governance and enhance the overall well-being of Ghanaians”.
