NPP Has Shown What We Can Do; I’ll Do More As President – Bawumia

NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has assured the Chiefs and people of Adaklu community that his government will ensure more development projects in the area and the Volta Region at large.

Dr. Bawumia has been touring the Volta Region since Sunday and visited the Adaklu on Tuesday, October 22.

Speaking to stakeholders of the community including Chiefs, Imams, the Clergy and residents, Dr. Bawumia said the current government since coming into power has done a lot for the community and the Volta Region.

“We have showed what we can do and a Bawumia Presidency will do more”, Bawumia told the gathering.

The Vice President listed a number of projects the NPP has done which surpass the NDC in all of its 16 years of rule under the 4th Republic.

“We have brought portable drinking water to Adaklu. We have built a youth resource centre, a stadium here in Adaklu. We have brought a district Police command to here in Adaklu. We have built a magistrate court with a bungalow just as is done in every district. We are building an Agenda 111 hospital right here in Adaklu. So, this tells you our philosophy in economic development.”

“…when the NDC was in government for 16 years, they didn’t build the roads for you but we are making a lot of efforts in many areas. So, we believe that Adaklu will do better under the NPP and under Dr. Bawumia because we have shown what we can do. The evidence is clear.”

“We are here to solve problems. That is what government is supposed to do. You look for the problems of the people and you try to solve them. And I pride myself as a problem solver, so when I take these problems away from here, I will go and look for ways to solve them for you”, Bawumia said.

The Vice President added that with the Constitution guaranteeing him two terms in office unlike his opponent, former President John Mahama, who can do only a term, he (Bawumia) will be more accountable to the people and will work harder because he will seek re-election.

He urged the community and the Region to vote for him to become President.
