NPP Remains Strong! Your ‘Hunting Spree’ Of Akufo-Addo’s Officials Won’t Hurt Us!! – Mahama Told

Former Deputy Managing Director at National Investment Bank, Alfred Thompson has registered his utter displeasure with President John Dramani Mahama’s chase after officials of the previous government.

Some latest developments in the current administration include the Special Prosecutor declaring the former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, a wanted fugitive and subsequently removing him from their wanted list.

Also, the heads of the National Service Authority being cited for corruption as the Authority is said to have padded the personnel figures for their financial gains.

The President also set up the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) to investigate corruption-related cases and the team chaired by the Foregin Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has handed their findings to the President who has in turn given it to the Attorney-General to begin prosecutions.

Furthermore, on Sunday, the former Chairman of Public Procurement Authority (PPA) Board, Prof. Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi was detained by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) and later released.

To Alfred Thompson, it appears President John Mahama is on a hunting spree targeted at the New Patriotic Party and aimed at disgracing the party but he stressed “it is not going to hurt us. It is not going to make us dissolve the party”.

He emphasized no matter what the President does against their members, the New Patriotic Party will “remain strong and steadfast and we are going to come back stronger”.
