Ntim Fordjour AirMed Brouhaha: Stop Trying To Be The ‘Jurors’ On This Matter – Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Govt Told

Atik Mohammed

Atik Mohammed has taken a swipe at Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister for Government Communications and President’s Spokesperson, together with all government officials who have branded Rev. Ntim Fordjour a liar regarding the AirMed “cocaine” brouhaha.

The Assin South lawmaker cum Ranking Member of Parliament’s Committee on Defence and Interior, Rev. Ntim Fordjour made an exposé on some aircraft that arrived in Ghana under suspicious circumstances.

The aircraft which involve an air ambulance named AirMed Flight N823AM and a jet landed at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) before departing for Gran Canaria, Spain, in March this year.

According to the lawmaker, the flights stayed in Ghana for days but were never used for their right purposes.

He alleged the planes may have been used to convey narcotics and cash.

But this has been vehemently refuted by Felix Kwakye Ofosu who intimates that the aircraft landed in Ghana for maintenace purposes, revealing it had developed a faulty tyre and had to be serviced to continue its journey.

“These pictures show engineers fixing damaged tyres on the landing gear of the Air Med Aircraft at the Kotoka International Airport. The damaged parts and engineers were brought in by a different aircraft, reason why it stayed here for five days.Don’t let anyone lie to you”, he shared pictures of a supposed flight which had developed a fault.

Reacting to the issue during Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show, Atik Mohammed asked Kwakye Ofosu and other government officials calling Ntim Fordjour a liar to relax and allow for the right agencies tasked to look into the allegations to do their job.

To him, it is not in the place of these government officials to quickly brush aside the claims made by Ntim Fordjour.

“Stop trying to be jurors on this matter. Speak to only what you know…Yours is to communicate the findings of the Committee, not to be the Committee and the judge at the same time in this matter”, he told host Nana Yaw Kesseh.
