President-Elect Mahama Sets Up ‘Interim National Security Coordinating Team’; Appoints COP Kofi Boakye Rtd.
President-elect John Dramani Mahama has announced a six-member interim national security coordinating team, led by Prosper Doughlas Bani, to oversee national security issues before substantive appointments.
The six-member Interim National Security Coordinating Team is tasked to manage national security affairs until permanent appointments are made.
The team will officially begin its mandate on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
The team will be led by Prosper Douglas Bani, a former Minister for the Interior, and other members as follows:
Lt. General Peter Augustine Blay (Rtd.), former Chief of Defence Staff
Kofi Totobi Quakyi, former Minister for National Security
Larry Gbevlo-Lartey Esq., former National Security Coordinator
Brigadier General Fuseini Iddrissu (Rtd.)
COP Nathaniel Kofi Boakye (Rtd.)
