Prez Akufo-Addo Leaves Ghana Following Ministerial Reshuffle
President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has left for a Munich Security Conference in Germany.
The President’s travel comes after reshuffling his Ministers which occurred on Wednesday, February 14.
The Munich Security Conference (MSC) creates a platform for global discussions on security policy and this year commemorates the conference’s 60th anniversary.
The President was accompanied by his wife, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey and some officials of the Foreign Ministry as well as the Presidency.
President Nana Addo is also expected to attend the 37th AU Summit at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, commencing from 17th to 18th February 2024 under the theme “Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa”.
Nana Akufo-Addo will return on Sunday, February 18 and in his absence, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will steer the affairs of the nation in his stead.
