Prez Mahama Appointing ‘Cockroaches and Lizards’…I Am Scared! – Blakk Rasta Laments

Broadcaster cum musician, Blakk Rasta has questioned President John Mahama on the appointment of his government officials.
The President, in his campaign prior to the 2024 general elections, promised to have a lean government, accommodating only 60 appointees.
His Excellency John Mahama pledged to have the leanest government size as part of his commitment to cutting down expenditure and lessening the economic woes on Ghanaians.
The President, upon assuming office, has kept his word by reducing his number of ministerial appointees.
However, he has appointed more presidential staffers and heads of various public agencies and sub-projects of the government such as the Ghana Tourism Authority, Black Star Experience, Diaspora Affairs among others.
Reacting to these appointments, Blakk Rasta says he is utterly scared for Ghana.
In a viral video, the broadcaster slammed the President saying “I am honestly worried about the number of people President Mahama is appointing left, right and center. I am scared!”
Blakk Rasta described the President’s appointees as “cockroaches and lizards” and asked why the many appointments when the President said his government will be different.
“In fact, cockroaches are being appointed. Lizards are being appointed. Mosquitoes are being appointed left, right and center. Mr. President, let’s be honest and let’s have it straight.
“If you have promised that we are going to have the leanest government, leanest government is not only about Ministers and Deputy Ministers. They involve and include all your appointees for crying out loud. I am scared the rate at which appointments are flying all over the place…It is a cause for alarm”, he lamented.
