Prof. Gyampo Appointed As CEO Of Ghana Shippers Authority

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Professor Ransford Edward Van Gyampo as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority.

Gyampo, a Professor of Political Science, was the President of of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), University of Ghana branch.

Gyampo’s Profile

Born on 31 March 1977 in Accra, Prof. Gyampo has holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Ghana.

He also has completed advanced studies at Tufts University in the USA.

The Professor is the Founding Director of the Centre for European Studies at the University of Ghana.

Prof. Gyampo has made significant contributions to global scholarship, having served as a visiting scholar at the University of South Florida and a visiting professor at the University of Bristol.

His career includes 14 years at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA-Ghana) where he spearheaded key socio-economic and governance research projects, influencing policy reforms.
