Prophets Today Are Synonymous With Being A ‘Con Man’ – Mensa Otabil Warns

Pastor Dr. Mensah Otabil, the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), has expressed worrying concerns over the behavior of some Christian leaders in the country.

Dr. Mensa Otabil emphasized in one of his sermons how some Pastors and Prophets have dirtied the ministry of God with their actions.

He noted that the irresponsible behaviors of those religious leaders have reduced the level of trust in the church today.

“The charismatic church, we see so much and maybe that is what all of you see but I see so much danger and so much self-destruction, so much dissipation of confidence more and more…Congregation and the public is losing confidence in us. They are losing confidence in men of God, Clergymen”, he said.

Although Dr. Mensa Otabil’s admonition has no direct correlation with the recent prophecy by Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah that former President John Dramani Mahama will win the upcoming December presidential election, it is however worth noting that Otabil’s words are targeted at those arrogating God’s glory to themselves.

He emphasized; “If you call yourself a Prophet, it’s almost like a title meaning con man.”
