‘Psychopathic’ Oliver Barker-Vormawor Shouldn’t Be Tolerated Again – Veep’s Spokesperson
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s Spokesperson, Gideon Boako has taken a swipe at Oliver Barker-Vormawor, a political acitivist who is currently in Police custody, over his indecent act during the Democracy Hub demonstration days ago.
Oliver Barker-Vormawor, who is known for his popular involvement in protests, was one of the Democracy Hub organizers who amassed a number of Ghanaians to the streets of the 37 Military Hospital to protest illegal mining (galamsey) activities in the country.
During their protest, the participants refused to oblige by the rules set out by the Police, hence engaging in acts that compelled the law enforcement agents to arrest some of them.
Over 50 of them are currently facing prosecution for various acts including blocking the intersection to the 37 Military Hospital with vehicles, stones and logs, causing massive vehicular traffic across the city, setting fire in the intersection, harassing and attacking road users including Military and Police officers and playing football in the road.
Oliver Barker-Vormawor was captured stealing a Police vehicle keys and throwing it away during a wild chase by the officers.
He later sped off on a motorbike but was subsequently arrested and he remains under Police detention.
Commenting on Oliver’s behavior, Gideon Boako stated that Mr. Barker-Vormawor has become excessively notorious, hence exclaiming his attitude should not be entertained.
“It is either Ghanaians have extremely wronged him that he now dislikes us or he has regretted being a Ghanaian or he is just wicked and wants to do evil things in Ghana because everything he says, everything he writes is treasonable.”
Describing Oliver Barker-Vormawor and his cohort as having “psychopathic tendencies”, Dr. Boako said on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show that “such a people shouldn’t be tolerated to lead a mobillization to cause mayhem and havoc in this country”.
