Put Away Your Ego; Go And Work For Us To Have Clear Majority In 2025 – Afenyo-Markin Charges NPP MPs

The New Patriotic Party Members of Parliament and parliamentary aspirants have been charged to work hard to win more seats.

The candidates have been told to stay focused and go to the grass roots, especially the floating voters, educating them on the good works of the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration and giving them a reason to vote massively for them and the NPP flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

This charge was given by the Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who doubles as Effutu MP.

He urged the parliamentary candidates, in an interview on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show, to unite and reach out to their respective constituencies engaging the people to avoid a “skirt and blouse” voting this year.

He further admonished them to place their ego and individual differences aside for the sake of the NPP.

“You don’t do politics with ego…We must reach out and give them (constituents) a reason to vote”, he exclaimed.

He implored the NPP MPs to “all finish hard”, stressing the current impasse in Parliament should motivate them to do much work ensuring a clear majority in Parliament next year.

“What Bagbin is doing should inspire us…I feel strongly what Bagbin and NDC are doing to us is a wake-up call that, look, unite, work hard, go all out and get the votes out and win. If you win massively in Parliament, the President is bonus”, he stated.
