Sack The Ministers Who Haven’t Declared Their Assets – Dr. Otchere-Ankrah To Mahama
Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah, a Governance analyst and lecturer at the University of Ghana, has raised concerns over the non-compliance attitude of some Ministers under the Mahama administration who haven’t declared their assets.
President John Dramani Mahama has directed his appointees who failed to declare their assets by the initial March 31 deadline to do so by Wednesday, May 7, 2025 or face immediate dismissal.
The President issued the directive on Monday, May 5, 2025 during the official launch of his code of conduct for his appointees.
Tackling the issue on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show, Dr. Otchere-Ankrah held a strong view that the President should have proceeded to sanction the Ministers.
According to him, the President “should have sacked those who refused to comply with his directive to serve as a deterrent”.
Although this didn’t happen, Dr. Otchere-Ankrah however wants the President to publicly disclose the identities of these Ministers.
