Stop The Lawlessness! – Fatima Abubakar To NDC Supporters
Fatimatu Abubakar, a former Minister of Information, has condemned the conduct of the supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) post-election.
The former Minister expressed disgust at the misbehavior of the supporters following the election of John Dramani Mahama as President of Ghana.
She was concerned about how some of them have been intruding people’s private residences to seize assets they claim belongs to government without providing concrete evidence.
She also bemoaned them acting in complete disregard for the laws.
Recounting instances where some innocent people are being harassed in their homes and offices amidst accusations that they have looted from the government, she advised them to use lawful means to address the situation.
“Ghana is a country of laws. If you believe you have any reason to suspect that someone is involved in corruption, use the law to summon the person and allow him or her to also defend himself/herself”, she said on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show.
