Submission Of Presidential Nomination Forms: National Chief Imam, Clergy Pray For Bawumia
The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu Monday morning led prayers for Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The special prayers, said at the residence of Dr. Bawumia, was to express gratitude to the Almighty Allah and seek His favours as Dr. Bawumia prepared to file his nomination forms at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission to contest for President of Ghana.
Sheikh Sharubutu led a team of scholars of young and old to recite the Quran invoking the mercy and favours of Allah.
Sheikh Sharubutu thanked the Almighty for the life of Dr. Bawumia and prayed for peace in the upcoming presidential election in December and progress of Ghana.
Also, later in the morning, the Clergy visited the Vice President and prayed for him.
Similarly, the pastors prayed for God’s favour for Dr. Bawumia in this year’s election as well as for successful and peaceful elections.
Dr. Bawumia expressed profound gratitude to the National Chief Imam and the Clergy and in the mid-morning, submitted his forms to the Electoral Commission.
He was accompanied by his wife, Samira, Running Mate, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh and his spouse together with some NPP leading members.
