Take Serious Interest In Ghana’s Political Leadership – NPP Running Mate Charges Christians
NPP Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has asked Christians to deepen their interest in the political leadership of Ghana.
According to him, this will contribute to sustaining the moral compass of the country.
Speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the 13th Biennial Conference and celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Methodist Men Fellowships at the KNUST on Saturday, 14th September, 2024, Dr. Opoku Prempeh said the church playing a key role in the politics of the nation is one of the ways to ensuring Ghana remains on track.
Anchoring his assertions on the word of God in Proverbs 29:2, he asked Christians to pray for a leader with humility, integrity and a good heart.
Dr. Prempeh further added it is essential for Ghanaians to continue to promote religious tolerance and understanding.
“As Christians, we are called to be peacemakers and to live in harmony with all people”, he advised.
He asked the church to pray for the peace and sustenance of Ghana before, during and after the December general elections and also openly codemn incendiary comments that jeopardize the country’s peace and stability.
