There’s No Communication By Bawumia To Unveil His Running Mate In April – Gideon Boako

Spokesperson for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Gideon Boako has debunked claims that the Vice President will declare his Running Mate in the month of April.

The NPP flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia, is yet to announce who partners him into the December presidential polls.

However, names such as Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Energy Minister, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Chief of Staff, Yaw Osei Adutwum, Education Minister, among others have been mentioned for consideration for the Running Mate slot.

According to grapevine, the Vice President will unveil his Running Mate next month but Dr. Gideon Boako says this information is inaccurate.

Speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show, Dr. Boako stated emphatically that “there is no confirmation that the Vice President will announce his Running Mate in April…Officially, there is no communication to that effect”.

He also disclosed that Dr. Bawumia hasn’t presented any name to the National Executive Council of the New Patriotic Party stressing “with the aforementioned, the Vice President hasn’t submitted any names to no one”.
