‘This Is Good News’ – Bawumia’s Spokesperson ‘Happy’ After Ama Governor, Others Receive GHC 70k Bail
About twelve Democracy Hub protesters have been released on a GHC 70,000 bail after their alleged misconduct during their protest within the 37 Military Hospital enclave.
The protesters included Lawyer Elorm Ama Governor-Ababio, also called Ama Governor, Oliver Barker-Vormawor and others.
Ama Governor was among those granted bail but Oliver will continue his remand as the Judge presiding over the case stated there is no assurance he won’t commit another offence noting he was on bail for treason when he committed this wrongdoing of removing keys to a Police van during their recent demonstration.
Though the protesters have been granted bail, they are to report to the Police once every week.
Reacting to this latest development, Dr. Gideon Boako, Spokesperson for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, was happy about the court decision.
“This is good news”, he commented during Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show.
