Treat Galamsey Like ‘Armed Robbery’; Shoot To Kill – Atik, Sefa Kayi Tell Akufo-Addo

Former PNC General Secretary, Atik Mohammed has implored government to adopt a “shoot to kill” approach to curb galamsey in Ghana.

Speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Atik stated that the government needs to “stand for something”.

Galamsey is a disturbing menace to the nation, destroying water bodies and environment.

It has become necesary that the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, takes action to combat the galamseyers.

Atik together with host of Kokrokoo, Kwami Sefa Kayi, supported the shoot to kill stressing this is the only way to stop the menace.

“You must be sent home when found on the water body…In every war situation, 15% casualty is allowed”, Sefa Kayi remarked.

For Atik, “let’s treat galamsey like armed robbery”.
