Ghana marks her 67th independence from British colonial rule today.

The independence anniversary was held at Koforidua in the Eastern Region, the Region’s first-ever national Independence Day.

The event was attended by the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and their wives, Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, Parliamentarians, the President of Ivory Coast, Alassane Ouattara, high-profile dignitaries from across the country and outside and a host of others.
