We Demand To Know The Identity Of The Person Who Gave You Your Car Gift – Charles Owusu To Mahama
Charles Owusu has raised concerns over President John Dramani Mahama’s donation of some cars to the State.
President John Mahama, in reinforcing his administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability, has handed over two vehicles gifted to him to the State’s pool.
The declaration made on Monday, May 5, was in line with his newly unveiled code of conduct for government appointees.
The vehicles were officially presented by Government Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, to the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah.
Addressing this gesture during Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show, Charles Owusu, a former Head of Monitoring Unit at the Forestry Commission, has asked the President to reveal the identity of the donor of the cars.
“The President must let us know who brought the car”, he demanded.
Charles Owusu was worried about the President accepting these gifts as, to him, it doesn’t augur well for his administration and the State.
“What work does the person do and who is he? What is the person’s motive for gifting the President a car?”, he queried.
