We Don’t Need You To Fail To Come Back To Power – NPP Guru To Mahama

Government Spokesperson, Kofi Tonto has wished the President-elect John Dramani Mahama the best in his administration of Ghana next year.

The President-elect was given an emphatic victory by polling over 6 million votes while his opponent, the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the ruling New Patriotic Party polled over 4 million votes.

As the nation readies for this transition, Kofi Tonto has served notice to the National Democratic Congress and John Mahama that the New Patriotic Party together with their flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, prays for him to succeed in his endeavors towards developing Ghana.

Speaking to Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Tonto stated Dr. Bawumia wants “Mahama to be successful. We want Mahama to be successful. We don’t want him to fail. Within these 4 years that Ghanaians have handed over to him, we want him to do well. We want Ghana to do well”.

“NDC must do well. They must succeed and it won’t change the fact that God willing, in 2028, we will rebuild this party and come back because we have the ideas. We have new innovation; we have the creativity. We have the mindset to change this country and we must rely on somebody’s failure”, he emphasized.

Kofi Tonto also stressed “Ghanaians or Ghana doesn’t need the failure of Mahama to bring NPP back to power. We don’t need the failure of Mahama to come back to power”.
