We’ll Also Remove Your Chief Justice When We Return To Power – NPP Guru Tells Mahama
Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the 2024 Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, says the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will sack the Chief Justice who is appointed under the Mahama administration when the party returns to power.
Dennis Miracles made this assertion while discussing the circumstances surrounding the petition to remove Chief Justice Gertrude Torkonoo.
To him, the President and NDC have deep-seated hatred for Chief Justice Torkonoo, hence their unwavering resolve to dismiss her.
“When I hear that the NDC is in government and they are attacking the Judiciary, it is no news. They won’t stop today. They won’t stop tomorrow. They will do it again. Even if they go and come back, they will do it again. It is in their nature”, he said on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” discussion show.
He described what is happening to Chief Justice Torkonoo under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama is “shameful”, adding “it is embarrassing”.
Dennis however promised that should President Mahama continue with what he believes is the President and NDC’s antagonistic posture against Madam Torkonoo, then Ghanaians should not be surprised to witness the NPP also remove the Chief Justice who replaces Madam Torkonoo.
“What His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the NDC are doing now, they have forever destroyed our Judiciary…I can bet you that if they remove this CJ, if the NPP returns to power, any Chief Justice in government will be removed.”
