What You’re Doing To Us Will Come Back And Haunt You! – NPP MP Warns NDC Minority
The New Patriotic Party Caucus in Parliament has warned their colleagues on the National Democratic Congress bench that their current behavior towards them may be replicated against them in the future.
The Minority is insistent on claiming the majority position, hence refusing to let go of the majority seats in Parliament.
The NPP Caucus has been compelled to boycott the House twice since their colleagues always occupy their seats following the Speaker’s declaration of some seats as vacant.
The Minority on Thursday, November 7, went to sit on the majority seats when Parliament reconvened after being suspended sine die.
In view of the Minority’s action, the Majority Caucus led by the Member of Parliament for Effutu constituency, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, decided not to step into their chamber resulting in another indefinite suspension of the House since the Speaker found no quorum to hold proceedings.
Addressing the parliamentary impasse in an interview on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Hon. Afenyo-Markin assured the Minority that their behavior today will haunt them if the National Democratic Congress comes into power.
“It will come back and haunt them”, he told Kwami Sefa Kayi.
Afenyo-Markin further slammed the Minority saying “they are undermining democracy”.
