Why Are People Afraid Of My Boss Being Protected? – Sammy Darko On Special Prosecutor’s ‘Bulletproof’ Car
The Director of Strategy, Research and Communications at the Office of the Special Prosecutor, Sammy Darko has defended his boss’ use of bulletproof cars.
Kissi Agyebeng, the Special Prosecutor, is said to be driven in a bulletproof vehicle.
This has generated controversies with some critics blasting the Special Prosecutor over claims that he has underperformed since his appointment, hence questioning the relevance of the State spending on him.
In an interview on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Sammy Darko shot down these arguments, stressing the Special Prosecutor deserves the bulletproof cars.
“All security agencies, at least, use some bulletproof cars. We don’t say such things outside because things like this used by security agencies are not for public consumption. You can’t make everything concerning law enforcement public”, he argued.
Further defending the Special Prosecutor, Mr. Darko asked; “Why are people afraid of the OSP being protected?”
Sammy Darko emphasized that “the most difficult crime to solve is corruption”, therefore his boss needs every necessary tool and protection to work.
