YOLO Star Drogba Battling Protracted Disease Sets Up GoFundMe
YOLO star, John Peasah, also known as Drogba, has been battling with a protracted illness and has made his health status public to seek financial assistance.
The actor is suffering from a neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), a disease that also struck famous singer Celine Dion.
Drogba, who is currently on oxygen and has been going for medical treatments daily, has appealed to friends, family and the general public to come to his aid in order to survive this ailment.
He has therefore set up a GoFundMe account to receive financial contributions towards his predicament.
He wrote; “I want to thank my family and friends(especially you guys), as well as the Vice President of Ghana, for the numerous donations and gifts I’ve received. Unfortunately, I’m not responding to treatment and have been spending almost all my resources, which are now almost depleted.
This fundraising effort is necessary to support my expensive treatment abroad, which includes specialized care from experts in pain medicine, physical therapy, psychology, occupational therapy, biofeedback, and nursing at the Pain Rehabilitation Center. Specifically, I need help covering the cost of admission, medical treatment, IVIG therapy (which is particularly expensive), or plasma exchange.”
