You Can’t Take Ghana On Your ‘Rollercoaster Ride Of Falsehood’ – Mensah Thompson Slams Ntim Fordjour

Mensah Thompson, ASEPA Executive Director

Mensah Thompson, the Executive Director of the Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA), has slammed the Minority’s Ranking Member on Defence and Interior in Parliament, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour.

Rev. John Ntim Fordjour has over the weeks remained the center of attention following his allegations that some two flights have entered Ghana under suspicious circumstances.

The aircraft, AirMed flight N823AM, and Cavok Air’s Antonov An-12B, a cargo plane, arrived at the Kotoka International Airport in March and, to Rev. Ntim Fordjour, they may have been involved with cocaine smuggling and money laundering.

These allegations sparked controversies, hence driving the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu to dismiss them.

He argued that the two flights came to Ghana to fix a faulty tyre and carried a oil drills cargo.

“These pictures show engineers fixing damaged tyres on the landing gear of the Air Med Aircraft at the Kotoka International Airport. The damaged parts and engineers were brought in by a different aircraft, reason why it stayed here for three days. Don’t let anyone lie to you”, he posted on his Facebook page.

On the Cavok flight, he said; “This is actual footage of the inspection of the Cavok flight by security officials at the Kotoka International Airport on arrival which shows it carried a cargo of oil drills and oil in jerrycans. Don’t let anyone lie to you and shift the goal post when pressed for evidence.”

To Mensah Thompson, Rev. Ntim Thompson is peddling falsehood.

He’s asked the security forces to use “minimum force” to compel the Assin South lawmaker to provide evidence regarding his allegations.

“The credibility and the integrity of this country is very, very important and he is a member of Parliament, he cannot take the whole nation on a rollercoaster ride of falsehood and of issues which he himself is failing to provide evidence for. We deserve better. If he doesn’t have anything else to do, he should leave us and let’s continue on the people who have stolen our money so that we can collect the money from the people”, he said on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show.
