The founder and President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has jabbed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over his administration of Ghana’s economy.

In a post shared on X (formerly called Twitter) on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Franklin Cudjoe described the President as having to suffer from a “dead goat” disease.

The IMANI Africa labeled President Akufo-Addo as the “goat” of the dead goat syndrome which former President John Dramani Mahama attributed to himself resulting in his defeat in 2016 elections.

Franklin Cudjoe, in a conversation with what looked like a friend, called the President the real dead goat.

John Mahama’s ‘Dead Goat Syndrome’ Comment

Former President John Dramani Mahama was the first to use the phrase during his regime when he warned that he won’t be moved by the strike threats from labour unions in Ghana.

“Often what happens is that in election years, trade unions and everybody sees that government is in a vulnerable place and so that is when demonstrates, agitations for an increase in pay and all that begins to happen.

“… I have seen more demonstrations and strikes in my first two years. I don’t think it can get worse. It is said that when you kill a goat, and you frighten it with a knife, it doesn’t fear the knife because it is dead already.

“I have a dead goat syndrome,” he said on March 11, 2015 while speaking to some Ghanaians in Botswana.

KK: Franklin, it appears your dear friend the President has been ailing from the ‘dead goat’ syndrome for sometime now.

FC: Naaa he is the real GOAT of all dead goats!

Hint: Greatest of All Time. ( GOAT)

John Mahama was the first to describe himself as a dead goat.
